It is just wood and glue. Remove some of it, in a determined manner, and voila! Bud says it is too pretty to put on a horse. He thinks it looks like an eternal flame or something. It is the first "peek-a-boo" tail they have ever done. I really like the way it is turning out! There is a lot of sanding to be done, but it is getting there!!
